Phase: III

Time Frame:  26 months

Age requirements: 10- 17 years of age

Compensation: Up to $900 for patient and $600 for parent/guardian.

Key Inclusion Criteria:

• Previously diagnosed with type 2 Mellitus Diabetes by World Health Organization/ ADA criteria.

• Must be on metformin, insulin, or a combination of metformin and insulin.

• Male and female patients of childbearing potential must agree to use a method of birth control.

Additional Criteria:
At screening visit, additional criteria will be reviewed to determine eligibility for the study. Qualified participants will receive study medication, medical care and compensation for the time and travel of each completed study visit.
